We operate with a clear goal:

To support our customers not only with a high-performance product, but with a comprehensive solution capable of facilitating the development and certification of their applications.

Thanks to our in-house laboratory, we test our protectors directly on electric motors under real-world and critical conditions—such as a locked rotor—ensuring concrete and reliable results.

Our approach is based on active research, hands-on experimentation, and continuous development.
Our R&D team is constantly engaged in testing our products in the applications we receive from customers: it tests, validates, and improves the products, transforming every new requirement into an opportunity for development and innovation.

Choosing a thermal protector: locked-rotor testing and validation

Selecting the correct thermal protector is essential to ensuring the safety of electric motors and the regulatory compliance of equipment. Relevant standards, such as IEC 60335-1 and UL 60335-1, require extreme tests such as the locked-rotor test, in which the motor is subjected to maximum thermal stress.

The Maestro laboratory for thermal protection testing

To support customers in selecting and validating the most suitable thermal switch, Maestro has a highly specialized in-house laboratory.

The laboratory includes:

  • 2 test benches with 24 stations
  • Real-time data acquisition (current, voltage, temperature)
  • Testing on motors up to 50 Amperes
  • Analysis of transient dynamics
  • Customized test configurations

This approach allows devices to be tested directly under real-world operating conditions, providing concrete support for product development and certification.
